Conventionally speaking, jewelry means fine jewels and accessories mean costume jewelry, but there is still some mix in their uses in our wardrobe,so we are going to introduce them as one.
If you are very young, you often do not have any jewelry until you get engaged—where your engagement ring might be the first piece jewelry you possess, after which you might receive them as gifts or wedding presents.
Jewelry is the component of the wardrobe which you can enjoy more than you suppose. It can change an outfit and create different looks.Being dressed up or down,it can change your outfit from a day on to an evening one,a plain one to a dressier one,or a plain one to an elegant and classy outfit. It may make the rest of your clothes, shoes and bags work harder for you. That is to say that you can wear it more times without considering if your friends think you are wearing your clothes too many times.
Elegant jewelry and accessories are also extremely individual. They represent your sense of style. They are used as expression.Sometimes they are worn with emotion.Though women may have the same item, they almost never wear jewelry in the same way.Jewelry can also help you seem to have more clothes and outfits in your limited wardrobe. When you don’t have enough time to shop for a new outfit for a party, there is only one thing you can do: accessorize, accessorize, accessorize!
■When Buying Jewelry
Think about whether they are classic pieces or statement/accent pieces.Invest in good classic pieces.
Avoid plastic which always look cheap and never promote your elegance.
Avoid fake silver or gold. They are often found in low-end fashion brands. They leave dirty grey residue on your finger when wearing them and also turn dirty grey after a couple of uses.Even though sometimes they hold real crystals, you can not use them anymore because they become grey.
Avoid costume jewelry that use cheap beads or fake plastic crystals. If you hold it against the light and it looks cheap,or will break or has a weak clasp—do not buy it!
